The Outreach Committee shall be chaired by the Outreach Chair. Membership in the committee will be on a volunteer basis from OFMA membership. This committee is responsible for:

• Raising the profile of OMFA and its members
• Generating publicity for awards, nominations and other achievements
• Generating interest in the 3-D Flood Model
• Advertising the TADD Signs
• Publicizing conferences and other events
• Develop outreach materials for the public including children and adults
• Identify the needs of its members and other FPAs
• Bridge the gap between OFMA and the Tribal Community
• Promote the Turn Around, Don’t Drown Calendar Contest, creation, production and distribution
• Promote the Mentoring Program
• Award the FPA Scholarship for the annual conference

Purpose: To raise awareness about flood risk to the public and to encourage membership in OFMA
