All OFMA members, local Floodplain Administrators, Stormwater Managers, and guest are invited to the 2019 OFMA Annual Conference that will be held at the Choctaw Casino Resort in Durant, Oklahoma September 16-18, 2019.

The casino is located at 4216S. Highway 69, 75, Durant, OK 74701.

Hotel Information and conference information will be available in the late Spring and early summer.

Flood Insurance Moonshots: Giant Steps for Oklahoma Floodplain Management

All OFMA members, local Floodplain Administrators, Stormwater Managers, and guests are invited to the 2018 OFMA Annual Conference will be held at the Stoney Creek Conference Center, 200 West Albany Drive, Broken Arrow, Oklahoma.  The conference will host several plenary and concurrent sessions from Federal, State and Local entities. Topics will include floodplain administration, floodplain mapping and permitting, community resilience and public outreach, stormwater quality and low impact development, and Federal and State regulatory and policy updates.

FINAL INSTRUCTIONS TO PRESENTERS:

1. Bring your presentation [Microsoft PowerPoint 2016 format] in a flash drive. To facilitate coordination, we also ask that you name your file with your Track Number [i.e. A.1, B.2, etc.] and denote your sub-session assignment as “a, b or c.”

2. WiFi service is available. If you need internet activity for your presentation, please check functioning of it before presentations start.

3. Please provide your cell number to us. We will use this information only if necessary to contact you while at the conference.

The Speakers Desk will be located near Registration to facilitate gathering of your presentations. We kindly ask that, immediately following Registration, speakers sign-in at the Speakers & Monitors Desk. At this station, your name will checked from the list, your presentation will be downloaded (to an OFMA computer), and the flash drive will be returned to you.

The conference rooms have been furnished with Audio/Visual equipment for your use. Please note that you will not be allowed to connect to your own laptop. Room Monitors will be tasked with making sure that your presentation is uploaded and ready to go 20 minutes before your talk begins. We ask that you arrive at the room 15 minutes ahead of schedule to enable proper checking of presentation file(s) and equipment use. Room Monitors will be available during your entire session should trouble arise.

Call for Presenters:

If you are interested in presenting or know someone who would, please submit an abstract to Jeff Bigby at jbigby@brokenarrowok.gov or 918.259.7000 x 5243 by August 1, 2017. Selection of speakers will be made by August 15, 2018. You are encouraged to submit topics early to secure your speaking selection.

Attendee Registration:

Registration is required for all participants and includes all conference sessions, afternoon training opportunities, lunch Monday and Tuesday, the Monday evening Vendors’ Social and the Tuesday evening Awards Banquet, and Field Tours. Registration deadline is September 1, 2018.

Note that a $50 fee will be charged for cancellations made after September 1, 2018. Substitute attendees will be accepted. Download Attendees Registration Form below.

Exhibitors & Sponsors:

Several sponsorship opportunities are available for corporations or organizations who share and support OFMA’s vision. OFMA is a 501(c)(3) organization, and donations are generally tax deductible.

The conference will be held at the Stoney Creek Hotel and Conference Center 200 West Albany Street, Broken Arrow, OK 74012.

NOTE: If paying by purchase order for your hotel reservation for the 2018 Annual Conference, Stoney Creek must receive the PO 30 days prior to your arrival date (i.e., August 18th if arriving on September 17th) and be paid net 30 days after departure.
